                                              4.Performance rules.

1.MOD PRESENTATION:

The purpose of this mod is to make comfortable gameplay on both Low end and High end systems,
with maximum graphics settings on high end systems, with balanced colours, effects and ligths .

Now Liberty city is flooded by strong summer-autumn sunlight with burning realistic sun.
When is morning there is a strong dirty city fog hiding the sun which slowly make his way and remove the foggy dirtiness.
At dusk appear the autumn clouds lighted from the sun struggling with him to make a way of the night.
Foggy, cloudy and rainy wheathers are cold with cloudy welkin.

The nights are dark with realistic moon and stars, the clouds are dark illuminated at the edges by the moon.

Thanks to the new loading trees/bushes imposters (initial image of textures) the whole popping textures are
reduced to minimum almost no in the fast movements like fast driving or flying, respectively the system posibility,
the performance/fps is much more, also the tress in the far distance looks normal - shaggy with branches, not like
the originals which in the far distance looks like cardboard figures or tents.

2.AT FIRST VIEW:

Here is the notable changes at the first view:

- Colours and brightness/darkness: all colours are more natural, the rustiness is preserved, the gray
and brownish tints are removed, the bright spaces are more clean with more bright colours, the dark/shadow
spaces make everything around especially the sky, sun and clouds more bright (fake HBAO effect).

- The fog: like in each big city and in Liberty City there is a fog, stronger at the mornings and at dusk with correct colour.

- Fake HBAO effect: When you walk or drive the colours and lighting from the sky are variables, in
shadows spaces all sky sources (clouds, sun and horizont) are brighter and from bright spaces (sidewalks, asphalt, expanse)
all sky sources are darker.

- There is no ambient shadows at morning, dusk, night, cloudy, foggy and rainy weathers: At these times the game is most heavy because all effects are
intertwined (fog + el.lights + rain drops + shadows + sun/moon light), the most heavy from them are shadows that's why I removed them (they gradually
disappear at dusk and gradually appear at morning) by hiding the sun with fog and clouds also in the reality there is no shadows at these times and they are not necessary, now you can use
el. lights shadows from the ingame menu because without ambient shadows they are not heavy.

3.MONITOR SET:

The most important thing is your monitor set, there is a lot of visuality or ENB mods which looks great
on some monitors and awful on others, with the games, movies, clips... is the same thing.
From my knowledge with monitors the best set is a bluish tint of the colours temperature K and middle gama until ingame far distance
become gray/bluish, white sunlight with a little yellow tint.

4.PERFORMANCE RULES:

There is a some rules if you follow them you'll get the best performance.
There is no a perfect software, this applies to windows too, over time if there is no a cleaning procedures the whole system become clumsy
with problems or errors and GTA IV is very sensitive to this kind of problems even on high end systems the problems will appear.

About cleaning the windows the best programs to me are "Ccleaner" or "Advanced SystemCare Ultimate", they have a lot of options but
the most important and required are removing the temporary, unused files and registry cleaning.
About the Hard Disk defragmenting I recommend "UltimateDefrag" because you can put your game folder on the high performance place of the hard disk
(on the outer tracks).

So you alredy have these two programs installed and the mod too, do not hurry to use them.
Start the game go into graphics settings and remember the video memory usage, it's something like:
450/1024; 600/1024;... etc, the first number is important the second one is the amount of the video card memory, if the card has 2gb. then it should be
displayed .../2024.

Go to the main directory of the game, right click with the mouse and make new text file with commandline name, open it and put -memrestrict inside,
now -memrestrict number is needed, by double multiplying video memory usage (450; 600) with 1024, 450*1024*1024=471859200.

This advice is from R*, on 90% of the systems it's useless because the quotient useful activity is 0, if your video card is with 2gb. and with more
than 128bit. then don't use it because it's useless.

Back on 128bit.; 1gb. and memory usage with or less than ~800, if the memory usage number is bigger than ~800, the -memrestrict number will be with ten symbols,
nine symbols are required!
Also multiplying by 1024*1024 is too low, the popping textures will appear, I recommend multiplying by 1124*1124, 450*1124-1124=568519200!

Finished example of text file named commandline:

-memrestrict 568519200

This commandline file also prevent the unreasonable lags and freezing.

The programs are installed, the mod is installed, commandline file is ready, now go to C disk (the program files and windows location).
Here is the full needed path C:/Users/your PC name/AppData/Local/Rockstar Games/GTA IV, to view these folders
you must have administrator rights and ability to view the hidden files and folders (Google will help you).

There is a three more folders named savegames, Settings and User music, the first one contain savegames files and the controll/buttons configuration file,
the second folder Settings contain Graphics, Display and all others options files and the last one folder User music contain derivative files with information for the mp3
files which are used in Impedence Fm radio station and cpu info file, these files are created after pressing on Complete scan in Audio menu.

In our case the important folder is savegames, open it and delete only ControlMap.dat file exit the folder and delete the others two folders - Settings and User Music!!!

Run the game, immediately go in options, Graphics settings and adjust the settings according with the memory usage number used in commandline file!!!
Adjust the others settings too - Audio, Display, controll... etc, exit the game and NEVER EVER CHANGE THEM AGAIN!!!

Now clean the windows redistry, remove temporary unused files, defrag your HDD, restart the systems and have a nice gameplay.
